Welcome to The Norwegian Bookshop, a service run by Norwegian Library House AS offering students and others interested in Norway and the Norwegian language a quick and efficient way of obtaining Norwegian books and other items.

Please contact us by e-mail with your requirements (we can supply any in-print Norwegian book at Norwegian list price, with discounts for bulk purchases), or use our order form.

We regret we are unable to supply Norwegian local history books ("bygdebøker").

Orders can be placed via our order form, or sent by e-mail, post, telephone or fax as given at the foot of this document. Please always quote your e-mail address.

We will contact you with payment details when your order is ready for despatch. Payment may be made by VISA or Mastercard. All payments will be registered in Norwegian kroner.

For books readily available from standard Norwegian publishers postage and packing will be added at cost, subject to the following maximum rates:

Norway	NOK 40,-	NOK 40,-
Europe, including Scandinavia/Nordic countries	NOK 70,-	NOK 250,-
Rest of World	NOK 125,-	NOK 400,-

Books are sent at B/Economique/Printed papers rate. According to the Post Office this will give a delivery time of 15-25 days to the USA. If you require a quicker service please note your requirements in the comment field on the order form.

We reserve the right to charge actual postage and pass on any publisher surcharges for special orders or particularly heavy books -- we will always contact you before despatch if such charges are incurred.
